On Monday, April 15, during the exhibition “TransRussia”, SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš” (SJSC Latvian railways) signed cooperation contracts with three companies intending to start offering contrtrailer services, to increase the volumes of freight carriage in traffic with Russia, as well as to promote integration of information technologies for provision of freight carriage services.
Contract that was signed between LLC “LDz Loģistika” (LDz Logistics) and JSC “The first federal counter-carrier operator” provides development of cooperation in intermodal contrtrailer freight carriage in the railway industry. In accordance with the signed agreement, such contrtrailer services will be implemented in the route Moscow-Riga. At the same time, an option is provided to begin production of contrtrailer platforms in Latvia by using the licence of JSC “The first federal counter-carrier operator”.
But the contract signed with JSC “First freight company” provides increase of freight carriage volume in traffic with Russia. This agreement has been signed on the basis of memorandum signed in 2016 between SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš” and JSC “First freight company”. Memorandum provided mutual cooperation in order to improve the quality of freight carriage, as well as to promote implementation of customer-oriented services. Whereas, in accordance with the agreement signed on April 15, LLC “LDz Loģistika” will provide to the JSC “First freight company” import and export, as well as transit freight carriage services in the countries of CIS and the Baltics.
While striving to achieve the goal to become an advanced group of companies in transit and technologies services, Gundars Ābols, the Chairman of the Board of LLC “LDz Loģistika” signed a contract in Moscow with the company “Digital Logistics” concerning cooperation in implementation of information technologies to ensure provision of even more qualitative and operative services in organisation of railway freight carriage. The signed agreement provides mutual exchange of experience and information in the area of information technologies, as well as development and implementation of innovative solutions in the railway industry.
In order to continue development of logistics services and to promote efficiency and safety of services by using the newest technologies, Gundars Ābols, the Chairman of the Board of LLC “LDz Loģistika”, during the exhibition “TransRussia” signed a cooperation memorandum with the International Logistics Business Association. Memorandum provides mutual exchange of information and experience between the companies of the industry in relation of transport and logistics services, carriage safety, electronic documentation, as well as topicalities in the laws on industry.
